June Chess Course 2021

Due to the huge success of our Easter Chess Course, we are running another intermediate/ advanced chess course over the June half term holiday for children from 6 years through to 15 years of age.  Taking place Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th June 2021 from 2pm to 5pm each day.

One does not need to attend both days.  However, there will be a tournament run during the course with match games played each day on and scores accruing through to the final day with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.  Therefore, it is more difficult to win a prize if one does not attend both days, but not impossible and has been done in the past.

The course will take place online using and and costs £25 per day.

The course will again be taught by top chess coach Emma-Jane Billington-Phillips who has an up-to-date enhanced DBS check.

All payments must be made when entering a child on to a chess course in order to have a confirmed place as there is always high demand for all of our chess courses.

We do not reserve place(s) nor will we accept entries on the day due to high demand as we feel this gives everybody the same, fair chance to apply.

Hi Emma-Jane
JUST a quick note to say thanks for running the holiday course. Both Jake and Max enjoyed it and found the lessons very informative. I’d happily to recommend anyone thinking about joining the next one.

Dear Emma,
Thanks for arranging wonderful chess lessons during the last 3 days. My Son Aathiran O. has thoroughly enjoyed the lessons, and he has compiled the outline of those lessons. I attached the word document here.
Many many thanks for this opportunity.Jusmin O.
