We are delighted to announce chess club is continuing in the Michaelmas term 2026 for all Bishopsgate pupils FROM YEAR 1 through to YEAR 8. We have three chess clubs;
- Years 1 & 2
- Years 3 & 4
- Years 5 – 8
Years 1 & 2 and 3 & 4 chess clubs take place Tuesdays after school.
Years 5 – 8 chess club takes place Thursdays after school.
All three clubs will run throughout the Michaelmas term as below:
Weeks commencing:
August 2026; 30.
September 2026; 7, 14, 21, 28.
October 2026; 5, 12, 19.
November 2026; 2, 9, 16, 23, 30.
December 2026; 7, 14.
Chess club membership fees are payable in full at the start of each term. The early-bird rate is £182.25.

Would your child be interested in representing Surrey as part of our Wey Valley county chess team? This is a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic young players to develop their skills further and take part in inter-county competitions.
