We are delighted to announce chess club is continuing in the Christmas term 2026 for all St George’s pupils from YEAR 2 through to YEAR 6. We have two chess clubs;
Year 2 – 3:30pm to 4:00pm tuition (then matches/ practice until 4:30pm).
Years 3 – 6 – 4pm to 5pm tuition (including matches). This is open to all abilities, from complete beginners to advanced, confident players
Both chess clubs take place Wednesdays after school and will run throughout the Christmas term on the dates below with the exception of the first week where there will not be a year 2 session:
September 2026; 9 (year 3 – 6 only – no year 2)
September 2026; 16, 23, 30.
October 2026; 7, 14.
November 2026; 4, 11, 18, 25.
December 2026; 2, 9.
Please pay membership fees by the first lesson at the early bird rate shown below:
Year 2 eleven half hour lessons followed by a half hour games – £74.80.
Years 3 – 6 twelve full hour lessons including games- £151.20.
Please be aware that the early bird period ends on 16th October 2026, the start of half term. Payments made after this date will incur a £25 late fee.
